A new sale

Now that I have the paperwork back, I can tell you all that I’ve made a new sale. Curious Intimacies, an erotica styled short story will be published by Ellora’s Cave as part of their Exotika line.

I’m not sure of details of release time etc yet, but I’ll let you know when I know more 🙂

Husbands and Wives – part Deux!

The newest novella in the Husbands & Wives series (or Husbands and Husbands, in Amanda’s case), GWM Wanted, debuts today at Loose Id. From Amanda’s Blog:

Finding true love is only half the battle. For Mark and Sam, love and commitment came easily. Holding onto it, won’t be nearly as simple.

Mark Peterson is still deeply in love with Sam, his partner of 15 years. He’s perfectly happy with their relationship, even if their sex life has grown a little stale over the years. When he begins to notice Sam’s gaze wandering toward other men, he fears that his younger lover may be losing interest in him.

When Sam suddenly suggests they broaden their sexual horizons by inviting a third man into their bedroom, Mark reluctantly agrees, willing to do whatever it takes to hold onto his lover. He’s willing to share his husband’s body, so long as he retains his heart.

Together, they answer an ad in an online advertisement. The other man seems to be just what they’re looking for — handsome, hung, and only interested in no strings attached fun just as they are. It isn’t until after the excitement begins that they find out they’ve made a terrible mistake.

Anne Douglas’s Par 3, the first book in the series is also available. Michelle Cary will end things with a bang in June, with the release of her novella, For Better, For Worse.

Romantic Times Reviews

Tea for Three 4 stars: This compelling story delivers an emotional punch with its glimpse inside a long-term relationship that’s about to undergo a major change. You can feel the heat in the steamy and passionate sex scenes, some between two males and others with two males and a female. But it’s the characters you come to care about that keep the pages quickly turning. –Sandra Garcia-Myers

Red Skirt, Cool Fountain 3 stars: Douglas delivers a tale of lust and love, taking readers on an erotic journey of self-discovery. Although this is an enjoyable read if you’re up for something different, the characters do not fully connect, and lust, not love. There are some M/M and M/F/M scenes.-Janean Sparks

A respectable showing for both stories!

It seems Red Skirt either hits big with the reader or juuuust misses, yet, ironically, both my editor and I think its the most ‘realistic’ storyline of any of the mĂ©nage I’ve written. I wonder if that might be the reason why some reviewers have found they feel the characters don’t connect. After all human relationships are nothing if not a bit dysfunctional, whereas a good section of romance novel relationships are often a little bit ‘perfect’ in the end.

There are some new reviews for Par 3, also – you can find them on the review page. I’m really glad Loose Id liked the concept as I’ve loved how people have connected the story with what’s happened in their own lives – I hope the readers find the same in Amanda and Michelle’s stories when they come out. It was definitely fun to work with my critique partners on this little group of stories.
