The first review for Accidentally Were?

5 stars from reviewer LT Blue:

Accidentally Were?, is a great story filled with humor. Pearl and Rex are two people coming together as a couple under the strangest of circumstances. Ms. Douglas provided excellent characters with Pearl and Rex- such opposites with a very real sexual attraction. I enjoyed Pearl with her Miss Priss ways and her constant struggle following the guidelines set by her mother and what she felt was right in the end. Rex was everything that I expect in my Were males to be. He was full of confidence and alpha to the end. The sex between Rex and Pearl was very hot like setting off fireworks. Even though the sex occurred during the first few hours of their meeting, it didn’t appear forced or faked. The secondary characters were a nice bonus to the story. The storyline was very well written with nice surprises towards the end. Accidentally Were? is now a part of my favorite Were reads. I was sad to see the story end.

Tea for Three finals in the Eppie’s

eppie2008finalist.jpgDepending on who you are, and how involved you are in the writing community (ePublished especially), you may or may not have heard of the Eppies, EPIC’s yearly competition for ePublished books.

This year there were over 600 entrants, in a whole host of categories; 77 of them alone in the category I entered Tea for Three in.

As of the 13th of December that competition was whittled down rather substantially to 9 in my entry category, and Tea for Three is one of the finalists.

WA HOO for me!! I tell you, I wore a smile on my face all day yesterday. Even bad shoes and near blisters couldn’t keep those teeth covered!

Congratulations to all the other finalists — though please don’t hold it against me if I hope I win 🙂

Coming Jan 15th…

Red Skirt, Cool Fountain will be released Jan 15th. Since that’s coming up fast I figured I better get moving at putting up the book page for it, along with a blurb. I’ll post an excerpt at the end of the week.

If you go hit the ‘books’ link on the side bar you’ll notice another new sale — Husbands and Wives is a concept I pitched to Loose Id on behalf of myself and my two Critique partners Amanda Young and Michelle Cary. It evolved from the thought of ‘what happens after the happy ending’.

Romance is usually all about the chase…but what happens after you get caught and you actually have to live with each other, and all the rest of the things that go with being in a long standing relationship?

Each of write quite different genre’s as a preference, although we all tend to stick with a contemporary setting, so you’ll be seeing Husbands and Wives, Husbands and Wives Husbands, and from me Husbands and Wives & Lovers.

Now I better get my nose back to the grind stone — H&W&L needs to be at my editor ASAP, so I better get typing!
